The Redmi 12C was launched in China last week, bringing a new entrant into the budget-friendly smartphone segment in the country. According to 91mobiles, this smartphone will be launched in India in February. Moreover, the units produced for India will have the same specifications and designs as the Chinese variants.
The Redmi 12C is believed to launch in India right before the MWC 2023 event takes place in Barcelona. The event is scheduled to take place between February 27th and March 2nd.
It is believed that the Redmi 12C will have the same specifications as the Chinese variant of the smartphone. The smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and will offer up to 6GB RAM along with 128GB storage. It will have a 6.71-inch HD+ display. The Redmi 12C is tipped to have a 5000 mAh battery capacity that will support 10W fast charging.
The Redmi 12C will come with a dual camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera and a 0.08MP depth lens. It will also have a 5MP front camera for selfies.
The smartphone is believed to launch as the POCO C55 in India, and will also have the same name in other countries. It is believed to cost around ₹8,172, however, this has not been confirmed yet.
