Tecno has brought the Pova 5G smartphone to India. It originally debuted in Nigeria last year as the brand’s first 5G phone. The 5G capability is offered by Dimensity 900 chipset. Other highlights of the device include its 120Hz screen, a 50MP camera as the main one by the back, and the 6000mAh power source inside. For performance, the device also supports Memory Fusion tech for a total of 11GB RAM, part of which is virtual, of course. Tecno Pova 5G Specs and Features
Pova 5G flaunts a 6.95-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It is of LCD type though. There is a central punch hole indent housing the phone’s 16MP selfie shooter backed by dual-LED flash.
Rotate to the rear, and the main camera here is a 50MP sensor with PDAF, and it is accompanied by a 2MP sensor and an AI lens.
The software onboard is Android 11 based HiOS 8. Under the hood, the device is driving a Dimensity 900 chip with 11 5G band support, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also features a Memory Fusion facility that lets you use the internal storage to boost the virtual RAM up to 11GB.
The innards also include a 6000mAh battery that supports an 18W charger (comes in the box). Tecno POVA 5G is priced in India at ₹19,999 and will retail via Amazon starting February 14. And as an introductory offer, the brand is giving out a power bank worth ₹1,999 for free.
