It will be available for a discounted price of Rs. 77,777 in the Early Bird sale on April 12.

Tecno Phantom V Fold is a power-packed phone with dual LTPO displays and MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ mobile platform.

It's up for debate whether foldable phones truly enhance the consumer experience, but there's no denying that they offer manufacturers an opportunity to flaunt their technical finesse and elevate their brand's cachet. The latest to join the foldable club in India is Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G which was earlier introduced globally at Mobile World Congress 2023 and will be officially launched in India on April 11. 

Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G will be manufactured in Noida at the company’s Noida facility. Commenting on the same, Mr Arijeet Talapatra, CEO, TECNO Mobile India, mentioned, "We have been operating in India since 2017, and aligned with the government’s vision, ‘Make in India’ has been at the core of our functioning with the establishment of the manufacturing unit in Noida. Having built a strong foothold in the mid-to-high segment and continued innovation in the premium segment with the launch of the PHANTOM X2 series, we are now focused on ultra-premium space with the entry in the foldable category.” 

Price and Availability 

The Tecno Phantom V Fold price in India will be revealed at the launch, but the company has divulged that it will hold an “Early Bird” sale on April 12 where the phone will be available for a discounted price of Rs. 77,777.

As mentioned before, the phone was already presented globally and we expect the same specifications to hold good for the India variant. 

The Tecno Phantom V Fold 5G has a 6.42-inch cover display (21:9) on the front and it unfolds to a 7.85-inch display (8:7) with a 2296 x 2000-pixel resolution. These are both LTPO OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate support and up to 1100 nits of claimed peak brightness. 

It’s steered by 4nm process-based MediaTeks 9000+ SoC paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, so you can expect solid flagship-grade performance. The software on the phone is Android 13-based HiOS 13 Fold. 

The 5000mAh battery within supports 45W fast charging. There are three cameras on the back – 50MP primary + 50MP telephoto + 13MP ultrawide. In addition, there are two front-facing cameras – a 32MP camera on the outside and a 16MP camera on the inside. The fingerprint reader is positioned on the side frame.
