Tecno Phantom V Fold 2
After the global launch of the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G and the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 5G back in September 2024, the company is finally bringing the new foldable lineup to India. Even though the company has yet to confirm the official launch date and other details, a “Coming Soon” page on Amazon hints at an imminent launch. The Amazon page reads, “Something Epic is About to Unfold.”
With this, Tecno has teased that the Phantom V Fold 2 will come in a 24GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration, while the Phantom V Flip 2 will be available with 16GB RAM + 256GB storage. Apart from that the company is tight-lipped about other details. But since the devices have already been launched globally, we know what to expect on the specifications front. Let’s take a look at the specs of both of these foldable smartphones.
The global variant of the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 features a 6.42-inch outer display with a 7.85-inch foldable mirror screen. It comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and Dolby Atmos speakers. On the camera front, it packs an Ultra HD Penta Lens system, which includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel portrait lens with 2x optical and 20x digital zoom. On the front, it has a dual 32MP camera setup. Lastly, it has a 5750mAh battery with 70W wired and 15W wireless charging.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 features a 3.62-inch AMOLED outer display and a 6.89-inch foldable main display. It comes with a dual-camera setup that comprises two 50-megapixel lenses, while the front camera is a 32-megapixel shooter.
In India as well, the specs can be more or less the same.
While Tecno has not revealed the Indian prices yet, the Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2 are expected to compete in the premium foldable smartphone segment. The flip phone can be priced under a lakh, while the foldable one can go beyond that as per the industry trends.
