Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro have officially launched in India. The Camon 17 is priced under Rs 15,000 while the Camon 17 Pro brings with it a 48MP selfie camera. The Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro are powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 and Helio G95 processors respectively and both are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery to boot. Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro: Pricing and availability
The Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro are available in a single storage variant in India. The Camon 17 is priced at Rs 12,999 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Camon 17 Pro is priced at Rs 16,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro will go on sale during the Amazon Prime Day 2021 sale which begins on July 26.
All buyers purchasing the Camon 17 Pro will receive Tecno Buds1 worth Rs 1,999 free. Moreover, Tecno is also offering a 10% instant discount for HDFC Bank cardholders and EMI transactions.
Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro specifications
The Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro features a 6.8-inch HD+ (2460×1080 pixels) resolution display with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. Both phones have a punch-hole notch cutout for the selfie camera up front. The Camon 17 measures 8.82 millimetres in thickness while the Camon 17 Pro is 8.95 millimetres thick. The Camon 17 is available in three colours: Frost Silver, Spruce Green and Magnet Black while the Camon 17 Pro is available in Arctic Down colour.
Tecno Camon 17 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor with an octa-core CPU while the Camon 17 Pro is powered by the Helio G95 processor. Both phones run on HiOS 7.6 which is based on Android 11. The Camon 17 is being offered with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage while the Camon 17 Pro has 8GB of RAM instead. There is an option to further expand the storage by adding a microSD card of upto 256GB.
The Tecno Camon 17 has a 64MP primary camera followed by two 2MP cameras and an AI camera. The Camon 17 Pro replaces the AI camera with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field-of-view. On the front, the Camon 17 has a 16MP selfie camera while the Camon 17 Pro has a 48MP selfie camera.
Both the Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. The Camon 17 supports 18W fast charging while the Camon 17 Pro offers 33W fast charging.
