Along with TCL 562 smartphone, TCL has also unveiled four new TVs including a curved LED TV

TCL has launched a new smartphone, the TCL 562 in India at a price of Rs.10,990. Apart from the smartphone, TCL has also introduced four TVs in the Indian market – TCL 43-inch P1 Ultra HD series that is priced at Rs.31,990 whereas the TCL 48-inch P1 Curved Full HD series will be available for Rs.37990. The TCL 32-inch D2900 & 40-inch D2900 will be available for Rs.13990 & 20990 respectively. TCL 562 and the newly launched range of TVs will be available from August 3rd, exclusively on Amazon.in.

TCL 562 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full-HD IPS display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor along with 3GB RAM. You also get 32GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card. The phone is made of polycarbonate body with a metallic frame. 

Coming to its camera, the TCL 532 sports a 13MP rear camera that the company claims can focus in 0.3 seconds and a 5MP front-facing camera with front-facing flash. The phone comes with 2960 mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with a custom ROM on top. On the front is a fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the home button on the front. The company had also launched its first smartphone, TCL 560 with an iris scanner that is priced at Rs.7,999.

Along with the smartphone, TCL also unveiled four TVs in its budget, mid-ranged and high-end segment that comprise of Full HD as well as Ultra HD. The TCL TV lineup comprises of P1(Ultra HD), D2900 & P1(Full HD). The TCL P1 series that runs on Android OS, comprises of a 48-inch Curved Full HD Smart TV that features a slim and lean design with an overall thickness of 69.6mm with the thinnest part measuring only 12mm. It is powered by TCL’s latest LED backlight technology that promises to come with dramatic enhancement of color gamut and dynamic contrast ratio. Sounds interesting, however, how good it is can only be confirmed once we get these in for review. It also features screen mirroring, built-in-Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, App Store along with the TCL nScreen application that lets you use your smartphone or tablet as a remote control. The 43-inch P1 variant comes with Ultra HD resolution and is priced at Rs 37,990. TCL TVs also feature PVR record and playback feature where you can record live content onto a storage device that can later be played on the TV.  

On the other hand, the D2900 series includes two models 40-inch and 32-inch screen sizes and are powered by an ASIC processor. Both 32-inch and 40-inch LED models come with 2 USB and HDMI ports each for extra connectivity along with software-level features like all time running dynamic skin color and blue color control, black level stretch, 3D chrome filter and 3D adaptive de-interlacing to reduce De-Mosaic Noise. These TVs also come with Dolby surround sound integrated along with Dolby Decoder and Smart Volume that eliminates unwanted spikes in audio.
