Swipe launches Fablet F2 and F3 dual-SIM phablets in India

Swipe has launched the Fablet F2 and the F3 in India for Rs. 7,590 and Rs. 9,290 respectively. Both the devices have 5-inch display and run on the Android OS.

Swipe has launched two 5-inch smartphones in India. Up till now, the 5-inch devices were considered as a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet and were christened as phablets.

Taking the phablets tag into consideration, Swipe has called the two “Fablet” F2 and F3, and priced it at Rs. 7,590 and Rs. 9,290 respectively.

The Swipe Fablet F2 has a 5-inch WVGA capacitive multi-touchscreen with 480×800 pixel resolution. It runs on the older Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS. A 1GHz processor coupled with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM power the device. It also sports 4GB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It has a 5MP rear camera with a 0.3MP front facing camera.

The F2 also boasts of dual-SIM capabilities along with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and USB 2.0 connectivity. It also houses a 2,200mAh battery. The device is 10.9mm thin and weighs 260 grams.

Fablet F2

The Swipe Fablet F3 on the other hand runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean straight out-of-the-box. It has a 5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display with a 480×800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, and 512MB of RAM. The F3 also has 4GB of built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The rear houses a 5MP camera where as the front has a 0.3MP camera for video calling. The device also boasts of dual-SIM capabilities. In terms of connectivity, the device offers GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. it has a 2200mAh battery and is 10.9mm thin weighing 260gms.
