Users of CDMA phones often miss out on the big offerings from major mobile manufacturers. Still, they are never ignored by the smaller ones, as is apparent with Spice Mobile’s new C-5300 candybar handset.
There is nothing out of the ordinary that the phone offers, but it seems like it does the little things right. For example, the 1.8-inch screen (65K colours, 128×160 pixels) should satisfy most people, as would the added eye-candy of a smart desktop.
The VGA camera can click pictures; but recording videos in AVI format caught us by surprise. No more 3GP nonsense? Nice!
Supporting a microSD card of up to 1GB in size, the cellphone can store 1000 phonebook entries and 300 SMSes on its built-in memory.
Radio listeners will like to avail of the FM recording feature, and the ability to record phone conversations is quite cool too.
The 1000mAh battery claims to offer sufficient mileage, clocking in three and half hours of talk-time and seven and half days of standby time.
Retailing at Rs 3,549, you can find out more about the C-5300
