Sony has launched the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium in India. The Sony Xperia Z5 has been launched at a price of Rs. 52,990 and will be available from October 23. The Xperia Z5 Premium has been launched at Rs. 62,990 and will be available from November 7. The Z5 Premium will be available for pre booking from October 25 to November 4.
The Sony Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display with an oleophobic coating and runs Android Lollipop v5.1.1. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM. The phone comes with 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 200GB via a microSD card slot. The device also comes with a 2,900mAh battery, which Sony claims can offer a 2-day battery life .The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor located on the side that can register up to 5 fingers. At the back of the device is a 23MP camera, which Sony claims can auto focus in just 0.03 seconds. There is also a 5.1MP front facing camera on the phone. The device is also capable of 5x clear image zoom. The Sony Xperia Z5 is available in Black, Gold, and Green variants.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium comes with a 5.5-inch 4K display. It also comes with a 3,430 mAh battery and is available in Gold and Chrome variants. The rest of the specifications of the Xperia Z5 Premium are the same as that of the Xperia Z5.
The devices will also comes with a Sony Quick Charger which the company claims can offer 5.5 hours of use with just 10 minutes of charging. Sony is also offering customers of the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium content worth Rs. 4,000 for free. This includes a three month subscription to Sony Music with unlimited downloads as well as a three month subscription to Sony Liv. Customers would also get free Amazon Kindle e-books worth Rs. 1,000 as well as a three month subscription to Hungama Play. The devices would also come pre installed with Modern Combat with free in-game credits worth Rs. 780.
