Sony has announced an upgraded version of its Xperia Z3 smartphone. Called the Xperia Z3+, the new Sony smartphone runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and is powered by Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64 bit processor along with 3GB of RAM. Sony hasn't revealed the pricing of the smartphone, though confirmed it will be available in select markets starting June.
The Sony Xperia Z3+ measures 146.3 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm and weighs 144 grams. It has 5.2-inch 1080p FHD (1920×1080), IPS display sRGB130% TRILUMINOS 700cd brightness X-Reality for mobile. The smartphone sports 20.7 MP Exmor RS rear camera with ISO12800 Photo/ 3200 Video, 4K video capture and output Steadyshot with Intelligent active mode. It also has a 5 MP front facing camera with Exmor R, 22 mm wide angle, Steadyshot with Intelligent active mode. The Z3+ has 32GB built-in storage, supports 128GB microSD. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, USB High speed 2.0 and Micro USB support, Wi-Fi MiMo and Wi-Fi Hotspot functionality, NFC and Miracast. As said above the Z3+ is an upgraded version of the Xperia Z3, which launched last year. The company has already launched its 2015 flagship smartphone, Z4. The Xperia Z4 features a 5.2-inch full HD screen, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor along with 3GB of RAM. It sports 20.7MP rear camera (CMOS sensor Exmor RS) and 5.1 MP front-facing wide angle camera (CMOS sensor Exmor R).
Sony today launched its mid-range Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 24,990, the Xperia M4 Aqua features a 5-inch 720p display. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor along with 2GB RAM. The smartphone comes with 13MP rear camera with with auto focus and 5MP front facing camera. The company also announced it will be launching its selfie smartphone Xperia C4 in India next month.
