Sony Xperia Z2a specs revealed, to launch in Taiwan next month

Sony's Xperia Z2a is just 0.2-inch smaller than the flagship Z2 and comes with features such as 20.7MP rear-facing camera, 3GB of RAM and expandable storage capacity.

Sony recently announced its Xperia Z2a smartphone for the Taiwan market. Sony then did not reveal full details of the smartphone, which is also considered to be an international version of the Xperia ZL2 that was recently announced in Japan. Well, more details about the Z2a have hit the web.

According to reports, the smartphone – a compact version of the flagship Z2 – features a 5-inch full HD display, just 0.2-inch smaller than the Z2. It runs Android KitKat and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone also packs the 20.7MP rear-facing camera same as the Sony Xperia Z2. The Xperia Z2a features a plastic panel and is water and dust resistant. The smartphone is scheduled to be launched in Taiwan next month. According to reports, the smartphone will be launched in Asian markets only.

Currently, there's no information on the pricing of the smartphone. But, we expect Sony to reveal more information about the Xperia Z2a very soon.
