Sony has announced rolling out a new firmware update to its Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra smartphones.
Sony made the announcement via its official Twitter account saying: “now rolling (phased): JB 4.3 firmware for #XperiaZ1 & #XperiaZUltra – brings display, BT music streaming, email, Wifi improvements and more!”

According to reports, the update also brings a new feature in the display settings – White Balance. The feature, already available on the Xperia Z1 Compact, allows users to manually tweak the individual color channels.
The update is available through Sony’s PC Companion and Mac Bridge. Sony hasn’t made it clear whether the update will be rolling out over the air later or not.
It’s notable Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra are some smartphones Sony has scheduled to roll out the Android 4.4 KitKat update. However, Sony hasn’t revealed when the update will be rolled out to these smartphones. Also read: Sony reveals Android 4.3 and 4.4 upgrade roadmap
