Sony Xperia Z Ultra coming to India on July 31
Sony is expected to launch its 6.4-inch Android phablet in India at the end of July. The device has a full HD display along with a 2.2GHz quad-core processor.
Sony’s recently announced large screen phablet is all set to hit Indian shores towards the end of the month. The Xperia Z Ultra is listed on the online shopping portal, saholic, as an upcoming item and is expected to be available towards the end of the month. As of writing this article, the Xperia Z Ultra isn’t listed on other shopping websites such as Infibeam or Flipkart.
Just like the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 and the Huawei Ascend Mate, the Xperia Z Ultra also crosses the 6-inch display size barrier. The device has a 6.4-inch full HD display and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Under the hood, the Xperia Z Ultra has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with the quad-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz accompanied by 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB built-in storage expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. A 3050mAh battery powers the device. It weighs 212 grams and is 6.5mm in thickness. There is no information available about the price of the Xperia Z Ultra but the smartphone may to be priced around the Rs. 45,000 mark.
Sony has also dropped the price of two of its other smartphones that are currently on sail in the market. The Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL have seen a price drop and are now available for Rs. 34,490 and Rs. 29,490 respectively instead of Rs. 38,990 and Rs. 33,990.
