Sony has launched its latest flagship, the Xperia XZ Premium in India and in doing so, it has beaten OnePlus in launching the first device with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 in the country. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 59,990 and will be available for pre-oder from June 2 till June 11, after which it will be available for purchase. As part of the launch offers, Sony is offering SRS-XB20 wireless bluetooth speaker worth Rs. 8,990 to those pre-booking the smartphone. It is also offering 3 months Sony LIV subscription worth Rs. 349 and buyers get 5200 game credits of Modern Combat 5 for free.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the world's first smartphone to feature a 4K HDR display and was announced alongside the Xperia XZs at MWC in February. The handset features a 5.5-inch display and offers 4GB RAM along with 64GB of inbuilt storage. There is also a 19MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture lens, predictive autofocus and electronic image stabilisation. The camera is capable of recording super slow-motion videos at 960fps in 720p resolution. Further, the handset features a 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture lens and 1080p video recording.
In terms of connectivity, the Xperia XZ Premium supports WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS as well as NFC. The smartphone features a fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button and is equipped with a 3230mAh battery. It will be available in Luminous Chrome and Deep Black colour options.
