The Mobile World Congress 2019 will commence on February 25 and go on till Feb 28. We are expecting many new smartphones to be announced prior to and during the event, and going by the reports Sony might debut some new devices as well. The company is speculated to announce its Xperia XZ4 smartphone, which is rumoured to sport a ‘CinemaWide’ display that has a 21:9 display aspect ratio. However, there is also a possibility that Sony might announce its Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra smartphones at the event, which are also reported of featuring a wide display. Ahead of the official unveiling, some real world images of the Xperia XA3 have surfaced online.
The images posted by sumahoinfo, via GSMArena, are slightly out of focus but showcase a smartphone with a relatively taller display. The images were reportedly screen-grabbed from a live video that is now no longer available. These images reveal a device similar to the one @rquandt revealed in the Xperia XA3 renders. One can see a horizontal dual rear camera setup on the back of the phone, above which is an LED flash module. The volume rockers and power button can be seen on the right edge of the phone, however, instead of using the power button as a fingerprint sensor, there is a dedicated fingerprint sensor between the two keys.
The previous report about the phone suggested that it may feature a 5.9-inch display with a 2560x1080p resolution. While there’s no concrete information, the dual rear camera on the device’s back could sport a 23 MP + 8 MP sensor setup. The bottom edge of the phone is seen housing speakers and the USB-C port. Rumours suggest that the Sony Xperia XA3 could be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC and might come with 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage. The battery is expected to be a 3500mAh unit. The leaked renders show the phone in 4 colour variants; blue, black, silver and pink.
