Sony has unveiled its slimmest smartphone – Xperia T3, which is just 7mm thick. The Sony Xperia T3 will go on sale globally next month. There's no word on pricing of the smartphone, though.
The Sony Xperia T3 smartphone features a 5.3-inch HD (720p) TriLuminos display, that according to Sony offers “redder reds and bluer blues”, along with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and 277 ppi density. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor along with1 GB of RAM, and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
The Xperia T3 has an 8 MP rear camera with auto focus Sony Exmor RS for mobile image sensor and 1.1MP front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with 8GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
The Xperia T3 packs a 2,500 mAh battery, featuring ‘Battery Stamina mode’ that according to Sony makes your battery last longer. At just 7mm the T3 is being touted as the world's slimmest smartphone. The Sony Xperia T3 has a stainless steel frame in three colors; white, black and purple.

Sony has also posted teasers of a new smartphone with the tag line "the next big thing" on its blog. The smartphone is likely to be the Xperia Z2 Ultra, the successor to Sony's Xperia Ultra smartphone launched last year. According to reports the Xperia X2 Ultra will support a huge 6.5 inch display and may be launched at the IFA event in September.
