Sony’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-based Xperia Neo L is now up for pre-order in India via online shopping site Flipkart. Priced at Rs. 18,499, the Xperia Neo is likely to be released in the fourth week of July. Sony hasn’t officially announced the phone in India yet.
Sony had unveiled the Xperia Neo L, company’s first ICS-ready device, in March this year. The Xperia Neo L, also touted as the successor to the Neo and Neo V smartphones, features 4-inch touch display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 512MB of RAM and 1GB of built-in storage (up to 301 MB user-free memory) with support of expansion up to 32GB via microSD card.
Other specifications of the device includes a 5MP rear camera with autofocus, VGA camera and 1,500 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 7.5 hours of talktime, 575 hours of standby time, and up to 37 hours of music playback. For connectivity, the device supports 3G, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth.
The device comes pre-loaded with various applications such as Google Talk, Google Voice Search, Google Mail and Google Maps. The Sony Xperia Neo L is available in two colours – black and white. Check out the full specifications of the Xperia Neo L here.
Sony has announced quite a few Xperia smartphone in India of late. Recently, the Android 2.3 Gingerbread-based Xperia Go was spotted selling for 18k on various online shopping sites. Sony also launched Xperia P and Sola in May this year.
