Hot on the heels of the XPERIA X2 announcement, Sony Ericsson has shown off another model in the Xperia line-up, dubbed the ‘Pureness’. And with a transparent screen, this puts the see-through LG GD900 Crystal to shame in our books.
Sony has released absolutely no details about the new handset though, let alone a specifications sheet. All it had to say was this:
“Today (Thursday) at a business update meeting, Sony Ericsson showed the new Xperia Pureness, a simple design phone which brings together beautiful craftsmanship and the concept of ‘talk, text, time – a holiday from technology’. The Xperia Pureness will be officially launched in November 2009 through selected retail distribution channels in key cities around the world.
“Xperia Pureness approaches the mobile phone as a work of art rather than technology. The company’s designers aimed to sculpt an object of design that reflected the purity of water and a sense of calmness when not in use.”
Here are two videos of the same:
So there you have it: the Xperia Pureness releasing in 2009, has a transparent screen, by the looks of it. Meanwhile, Area Mobile has got quite a few pics of the new phone on their blog – and apparently some hands-on time, which they will upload soon enough – which can be checked out in the gallery below.
