Sony Ericsson W995 dazzles with Wi-Fi, 8.1MP camera, and GPS, at Rs. 19,000+
Sony Ericsson’s W995 hit the market way back in May 2009, but still holds its position as their flagship Walkman series phone. It features an 8.1 MP camera with auto-focus and WQVGA resolution video recording at 30 frames per second (fps). It also adds an impressive assortment of advanced features like Wi-Fi, GPS, Shake Control (music) and motion games. W995 has a stylish design and attractive candy-bar looks that dare to capture your imagination. Adding the icing on the cake is a mountable external stereo speaker that allows the phone to slate horizontally over it for a wider view of the display (suits perfectly for watching videos, movies or game trailers). In spite of all the impressive features, it leaves a lot to be desired with a price that’s on the expensive side (Rs. 19,000 ), a low resolution display (240 x 320) and a screen size of just 2.6-inches. It is currently available in 3 colors: Energetic Red, Progressive Black & Cosmic Silver and can be purchased at all major retail outlets in India.
