Snapdragon 800-powered Samsung Galaxy S4 Active in the works
Samsung Galaxy S4 with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor could see a launch in the Korean market next month.
Rumours suggest Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Active will come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 800 processor, and has been scheduled for a launch in the Korean market next month.
The delayed release is mainly because Samsung did not want the updated version of the S4 to interfere with the sales of Galaxy Note 3.
The latest information comes shortly after several standard tests of the Snapdragon 800-powered Galaxy S4 Active appeared in the online database of the GFXBench benchmarking app. The results showed some impressive scores, particularly over the current model of the Galaxy S4 Active running on the Snapdragon 600.
As of now it seems that the Snapdragon 800-powered S4 Active will only be launched in South Korea, but we are pretty sure that a higher sales figure will eventually lead to a global release as well.
