As a follow-up to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which was released in November of last year, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is anticipated to make its debut in the upcoming months.
Despite the fact that Qualcomm has not yet released any information on this CPU, it has purportedly been discovered on two well-known benchmarking websites. These benchmarks imply substantial performance improvements over its predecessor. In the meantime, a new report has also made some of the claimed flagship chipset's specifications public.
The octa-core CPU may consist of one prime core paired with five performance cores and two efficiency cores, or it may consist of two prime cores, four performance cores, and two efficiency cores, according to a Weibo post that has been translated from Chinese. The message also includes a screenshot of another user, Hi My, who lists the Geekbench and AnTuTu test results of the alleged Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The chipset performed well on the Geekbench 6 single- and multi-core tests, earning 2,563 and 7,256 points, respectively, according to the information shown in the screenshot. The GPU test has a score of 8.621 points, although it's unclear from the post if this refers to the OpenCL or Vulkan exam. Similarly to this, the AnTuTu score of 1,712,271 indicates that it will be significantly faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
It is advised to take these assertions with a grain of salt since these are benchmarks without accompanying entries that can be confirmed. The Weibo article that purports to have the benchmark results also states that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 launch is "just over 200 days" away. This schedule coincides with the November release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, Qualcomm has not yet made any official statements in this regard.

According to a recent MyDrivers story quoting tipster Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will have five performance cores, two efficiency cores, and a sophisticated Cortex-X4 prime core with a maximum clock speed of 3.7GHz. Developer and tipper Kuba Wojciechowski (@Za_Raczke) made such claims in March. The business may announce the top-tier smartphone chipset at its yearly summit, which is anticipated to take place in Hawaii shortly thereafter.
