Latest Windows 10 build 10162 for phones leaked

Updated on 06-Jun-2017
HIGHLIGHTS

Screenshots of build 10162 for Microsoft's Windows 10 for phones have surfaced online, showing minor changes.

While Windows 10's desktop version is getting all the hype and importance ahead of its July 29 launch, Windows 10 for phones is getting on with its insider test builds. Two days ago, information about Windows 10 for phones' build 10158 came out, and screenshots of build 10162 have been leaked today.

With build 10158, the Wallet feature appears to be back with cards, tickets and boarding pass storage options. Tiles for the new Edge browser and Microsoft Store are transparent, and new animations have been added to the People app's live tile. The Camera can now record 120fps videos at 728×576 pixels resolution. The Beta tag from Store has also been removed, and overall performance seems much smoother than the previous build 10149.

Build 10158 was slated for release in Windows Insider's Fast ring but it is not clear whether the new build 10162 will release in the Insider circles. Leaked by WindowsMania.pl, there are not many distinct improvements in the new build, and further information is yet to be received on the new update. With most of Microsoft's developer workforce presently assigned to streamline Windows 10 for desktop prior to its launch and an RTM build expected by the end of this week, one can assume that development for the mobile platform OS will speed up once the July 29 deadline is past.
