The Samsung W2017 (SM-W2017) has been announced. The device is a premium flip phone from Samsung, launched in China. It succeeds the W2016 that was launched last year.
The Samsung W2017 has a 4.2 inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, along with the Snapdragon 820 SoC and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has a 12MP camera on the back, along with a 5MP camera on the front. The phone has a metal frame, along with a fingerprint sensor on the back and a heart rate sensor.
The smartphone weighs 208 grams, and is 15.8mm thin. It supports 4G VoLTE connectivity, and has 64GB storage, which can be expanded using a 256GB micro-SD card. It has a 2300 mAh battery that supports fast charging as well, both wired and wireless.
Of course, we don’t expect Samsung to bring the phones to India. The company has refrained from bringing its flip phones to the country, however, they do sell in China and South Korea.
