In view of Xiaomi and Micromax dominating the lower-end of the market, Samsung seems to be re shifting its focus on the budget segment as suggested by these pictures of the Galaxy J5, leaked by Sammobile. The photos shows a low-end phone with a plastic build.
The Galaxy J5’s specs (obtained through TENAA) aren’t really over the top, with a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, and a 5-inch 720p display. On the storage side, you have 8GB internal along with microSD Card support.
The back camera is 13MP, and the front is a 5MP shooter, and powering it all is a removable 2600mAh battery. The processor seems underpowered in our opinion, and at a time when even the cheapest phones are sporting 2 gigs of RAM, 1.5 GB seems to be pushing it.
The camera looks to be decent, but we won’t know till we get it for testing. It should be priced under 10K, since over 10K there are much better phones available.
