Samsung’s 2017 Galaxy A7,A5 receive permanent price cuts in India
Both the phones were launched in March 2017 and featured premium design derived from Samsung Galaxy S7
Samsung has announced permanent price cuts for the Samsung A-series in India. Today, on August 18, Samsung announced the drop in prices for the Samsung A7 and the A5 2017 editions. The company offers a flat permanent discount of Rs 5000 on both, the Samsung Galaxy A7 and the A5.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) launched at Rs 28,990, while the Galaxy A7 (2017) was priced at Rs 33,490. After the price cuts, the Galaxy A5 will now be priced at an MOP of Rs. 22,900 and the Galaxy A7 at an MOP of Rs 25,900.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) sports a 5.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.9GHz Exynos 7 series octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card. The Galaxy A5 gets a 16MP camera both in the front and rear with f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera is supported with an LED flash. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is similar to the Galaxy A5 (2017) in nearly all aspects except that it sports a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 3,600mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. Both the smartphones ran Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box and support 4G LTE, dual-SIM compatibility, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, NFC. Both the smartphones feature a fingerprint scanner on the home button as well.
