Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 AI
The South Korean tech giant is expected to introduce its new foldable lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 series in the coming months. Traditionally, Samsung unveils just two foldable devices every year- the Galaxy Z Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip. However, this year, the company is expected to add another phone to the lineup. I am talking about the highly rumoured Galaxy Z Flip FE (Fan Edition). This is expected to be a more affordable flip phone from Samsung and can be launched sometime after the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Previous reports had revealed that Samsung was working on its in-house Exynos 2500 chipset for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, as per a report by the South Korean publication The Bell, the chipset has faced some production delays. It is now rumoured that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will house the Exynos 2500 chipset. This will also give the company some additional time for optimisation.
While Samsung has chosen to remain tight-lipped about the possibility of this device, the FE model is expected to offer a more affordable alternative in the foldable segment, potentially targeting a wider audience.
Samsung already has an upper hand in the market and the addition to the Galaxy Z Flip FE could further help solidify its market presence as it will democratise the flip experience further. As the launch nears, more details about pricing, features, and availability are expected to emerge.
In addition to the Exynos 2500 challenges, Samsung is also reportedly working on the Exynos 2600 chipset, aiming for its inclusion in the Galaxy S26 series in 2026. This move could signal a broader push towards integrating Exynos chips across Samsung’s flagship devices.
