Samsung has been reported to be working on its biggest smartphone till date called the Galaxy Mega 7.0. A model number SM-T2558, featuring a 7-inch HD display was spotted online on the Chinese electronics certification website TENAA.
The SM-T2558 is likely to be named as Samsung Galaxy Mega 7.0 because of it’s large display screen. The specs spotted on the product information page for the SM-T2558 includes a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It has an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera. The SM-T2558 smartphone will have an 8GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card slot support. The smartphone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The 7-inch smartphone measures 8.95 mm in thickness, and weighs 245 grams. The smartphone comes with TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA connectivity.
The Samsung SM-T2558 is expected to be priced around $400. No further details about the launch date have been mentioned by the Korean manufacturer.
Samsung has also launched a new Galaxy Mega 5.8 Plus smartphone under its Mega-series. The smartphone was spotted on the company’s official China website with a model name I9152P. The smartphone is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 launched last year. The Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus sports a 5.8-inch qHD display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung’s TouchWiz on top and features a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has an 8MP rear camera and a 1.9MP front camera. The smartphone has 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card slot. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 Plus comes with software enhancements like Multi Window, Story Album, Popup Play, Group Play, S Translator and more.
