Samsung is reportedly working on a successor to the Tizen-powered Z1 smartphone that was launched last year. As per a report by SamMobile, the Samsung Z1 (2016) with model name SM-Z150 may come with an AMOLED screen. However, not much else is known about the device as of now.
The Samsung Z1 was launched in India in January 2015, at Rs. 5,700. It has a 4-inch WVGA PLS display, was launched with Tizen OS 2.3 and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM. The device is equipped with 4GB of onboard storage that could be expanded to 64GB via microSD cards. At the back is a 3.1MP primary camera, while at the front is a VGA camera. Another Tizen-powered smartphone, the Samsung Z3, was launched in October, priced at Rs. 8,490. The phone is equipped with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7730 SoC with 1GB RAM. The phone has an 8MP camera at the back with a 5MP front camera, and is equipped with 8GB of onboard storage that can be expanded by up to 128GB.
