Samsung’s Galaxy tri-fold phone is in the headlines yet again but this time with its possible launch timeline. The device came into the limelight when the news came out that Samsung had won a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office. The documents included a flexible triple display.
For the unversed, the Galaxy tri-fold is expected to come with three screens and two hinges, much like the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, which got a lot of attention. However, there is not much information available about the Galaxy tri-fold.
However, according to DSCC analyst Ross Young, the triple-folding smartphone from Samsung (also Galaxy tri-fold) will make its debut in early 2026. If reports are believed to be true, the Samsung Galaxy tri-fold could have a similar design to the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate.
Ross Young asserted on X that the Galaxy tri-fold smartphone from Samsung might debut in early 2026. When the user asked if he would be moving to the Fold 7 if Samsung did not release the tri-fold device next year, he said, “More like early 2026.”
Samsung may release the triple-folding device a few months after launching the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, according to a recent rumor. Next-generation foldable phones from Samsung are often announced in the middle of the year, most likely around July.
Speaking of the specifications, the Samsung triple folding smartphone can debut with a 10-inch screen when unfolded. When folded, it may get a rectangular shape. It is worth noting that Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch of the device at the time of writing this article.
However, if Samsung introduces the Galaxy tri-fold device, it could be costly. For example, Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate Design debuted in China priced at CNY 19,999 (about Rs. 2,35,900), which is likewise on the high end. However, it makes sense because the investment in hardware and research would increase.
