The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has been pictured a little early by PocketNow at the CTIA event, where it is expected to launch later today as announced. The images show some specifications of the tablet, including an impressive 1280×800 WXGA resolution.
[RELATED_ARTICLE]The 8.9-inch tablet will be just 8.6mm thick, and weigh 470 grams. Also mentioned, is the dual-core 1GHz processor, still presumed to be Tegra 2 and not an Exynos offering. The images have also riled up a lot of Honeycomb fans, who are displeased with Samsung’s decision to plant its own user interface customizations on top of Android 3.0 – such as the Live Panel personalized home screen, and live widgets. We’re still looking forward to it though, as well as an updated 7-inch offering with Honeycomb and hopefully, a dual-core processor.
We await the announcement later today, at 21:30 IST.
