There is a minimum Rs 5,000 cashback being offered on the purchase of the Samsung Galaxy S9, however, clubbing offers together, one can increase the maximum discount up to Rs 51,000

Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus in India on March 16. Now, the company is offering cashback on the Galaxy S9, and those who purchase the 64GB variant of the device will get to avail an instant discount of Rs 5,000 as well. With the 128GB and 256GB models of the handset, there is an instant cashback of Rs 6,000. This instant cashback is being offered by the company on the device at its official online shop and has been confirmed. However, one can also avail an additional Rs 6000 cashback if they purchase the smartphones using an HDFC credit card. This brings the total cashback to Rs 12,000.

In case you have an old smartphone, you can avail more discount on the Galaxy S9 with the exchange program. The company is offering up to Rs 33,000 off on exchange, along with an additional Rs 6,000 discount when you exchange your old Samsung smartphone with some select models. The list of these handsets include the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge/Edge+, Galaxy On Max, J7 Max, J7 Pro (32GB), Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy A8+, Galaxy S6 (32GB), Galaxy A7 (2016), Galaxy A9 Pro, Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy Note 5 (32GB), Galaxy C7 Pro and the Galaxy C9 Pro.

Even though Samsung is offering a max exchange value of Rs 33,000, we found that after selecting the iPhone 8 Plus, one will get Rs 22,000 off on exchange. However, counting the additional Rs 6,000 cashback on the company’s own Galaxy Note 8, you can get Rs 26,000 off. With the Galaxy S8 Plus, the total exchange value stands at Rs 23,000. So expect lesser exchange value if your old device is more than a year old.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S9 features a 5.80-inch display with a 1440x2960p resolution. It is powered by the Exynos 9810 octa-core processor and comes with 4GB RAM. In terms of optics, the Galaxy S9 features a single 12MP rear camera with a variable aperture for better photography in varying lighting conditions and on the front, it is equipped with an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.
