The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified two Samsung smartphones. The devices are rumoured to be the unlocked variant of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

If information circulating the internet is to be believed then the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified two Samsung devices with the model number SM-G960F and SM-G965F. It is suggested that the Galaxy S9 has the model number SM-G960F, whereas the Galaxy S9 Plus has the model number SM-G965F. It is also believed that the two models approved by the FCC are the unlocked variants of the smartphones and not the ones locked to specific carriers. Samsung applied to have their smartphones certified by the FCC in mid-November.

In the past Samsung has shifted away from CES and MWC to launch its flagship smartphones. But information circulating the internet suggest that Samsung may announce the new flagship S9 and S9 Plus at CES 2018

Coming to the specifications and features of the smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are expected to have similar design to the S8 and S8 Plus. Speculations suggest that the smartphones will sport a dual-camera setup, similar to what we have seen on the Galaxy Note 8. It is possible that Samsung may implement an under-display fingerprint sensor with the Galaxy S9 but that’s just speculation at this stage. It is also expected that the S9 and S9 Plus will come in two processor variants – Snapdragon 845 and Exynoss powered variants.

There is no information available about the pricing of the smartphone but seeing the iPhone X's $999 price in the US and Rs 1,05,000 price in India for the top of the line variant, we think Samsung may employ premium pricing for their smartphones too.
