Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ preorders shipping to customers in India: Report
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are priced at Rs. 57,900 and Rs. 64,900 respectively and will go on sale starting May 5 from Samsung Shop, Flipkart and select retailers
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ preorders have reportedly started shipping to customers in India. The latest flagship smartphones from the Korean giant were announced on April 19 in India and will go on sale starting May 5. The smartphones are available online exclusively on Samsung Shop and Flipkart and offline across select retail stores.
According to Sammobile, some of the pre-order customers have already started receiving their devices and that some third-party retailers have also started shipping preorder units. Samsung is still accepting preorders for Galaxy S8 and S8+ and consumers will get free Wireless Charger with preorder units.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ feature a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Display respectively with Infinity design enabling narrow bezels. The handsets are powered by company's Exynos 8895 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The rear camera is similar to the one found on Galaxy S7 last year with a 12MP sensor supporting dual-pixel autofocus and f/1.7 aperture. The front camera has been upgraded to 8-megapixels with support for autofocus.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ sports an iris scanner, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports Samsung Pay for contactless payments. The smartphones also features the company's new Bixby virtual assistant with limited functionality at the time of launch. The two handsets are backed by a 3000mAh and 3500mAh battery respectively and are available in midnight black, maple gold and coral blue colour options. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are priced at Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900 respectively.
