Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Orchid Gray Editions are priced at Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900 respectively. The handsets will be available for pre-order between July 5 and July 11 and go on sale starting July 12 at select stores.
Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in orchid gray colour variant in India. The Galaxy S8 will now be available in midnight black, maple gold and orchid gray colour options, while the larger Galaxy S8+ will be available in midnight black, maple gold, coral blue and orchid gray colour options.
The orchid gray colour variants of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be available at a retail price of Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900 respectively, same as the other colour variants. The handsets will be available for pre-order from July 5 to July 11 on Flipkart and Samsung Shop. The orchid gray variant will become available at select stores from July 12. Samsung says the buyers of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the orchid gray edition will get dual benefits of free convertible wireless charger worth Rs 4,499 and Rs 3,000 cashback on HDFC credit card.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are the best-looking premium flagship smartphones in the market right now. The handsets feature new Infinity design with near bezel-less display and metal and glass construction. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ feature a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch dual curved edge Super AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. Both the handsets are powered by Exynos 8895 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ sport a 12MP optically stabilised rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, dual pixel autofocus, and support for 4K video recording. The handsets also feature an improved 8MP front camera with autofocus and a wider f/1.7 aperture. Both the handsets are IP68 water and dust resistant, and offer connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11ac, GPS, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ run Android 7.0 Nougat with TouchWiz UI. The handsets offer a rear fingerprint sensor and iris scanner for biometric authentication. It also supports Samsung Pay, a contactless payment solution from the South Korean company. The Galaxy S8 is backed by a 3000mAh battery while the Galaxy S8+ gets a larger 3500mAh battery.
