Samsung's latest flagship phone S6 has launched in India. There is an Edge version of the device as well. Both are devices are priced between Rs. 49,000 and Rs. 70,900.
Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones in India. The Galaxy and S6 Edge are priced at Rs. 49,900 and Rs. 58,900 (for 32GB version) respectively and will be available starting April 10. The company has tied up with Airtel for data benefits for new customers.
The Galaxy S6 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 55,900, while 128GB version is available for Rs. 61,900. The S6 Edge 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 64,900 while 128 GB is available for Rs. 70,900.
First up is the Galaxy S6, the latest flagship smartphone from Samsung. The smartphone has a 5.1-inch quad HD Super AMOLED with 2560 x 1440 (577 ppi). It runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and is powered by a Exynos 7420 (64-bit, 14nm), Octa core (2.1GHz Quad + 1.5GHz Quad) processor along with 3GB of RAM.
The S6 has 16MP OIS (F1.9) rear camera and 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac HT80 MIMO 620Mbps, Bluetooth v4.1 LE, IR-LED, ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC, Location (GPS, Glonass, Beidou). It is powered by a 2550mAh battery.
The Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone features Edge display. It has a 5.1’’ Quad HD(2560×1440) 577ppi, Super AMOLED, Dual edge. Rest of of the specifications of the smartphone are similar to the S6 – Android 5.0 (Lollipop), Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5Ghz, Octacore application processor, 3GB of RAM.
