Samsung Galaxy S4 Activ gets Bluetooth SIG certification, official UA profile
The new Samsung Galaxy S4 Activ is dubbed as a water-resistant phone, user agent profile leak reveals.
Samsung is coming out with a water-resistant S4 named Samsung I9295 Galaxy S4 Activ. Sounds too good to be true, and it has been rumoured for a while, but the latest leaks make it seem quite real. Previous rumours indicated it will feature water-resistance up to one metre, and withstand 30 minutes in water.
The Samsung I9295 S4 Activ was spotted when it was certified by the Bluetooth SIG, and its user agent profile has emerged on Samsung’s official website. The Bluetooth certification does not reveal much, not even a confirmation on the Activ name.
The user agent profile shows that the screen will have a 1080p resolution, just like the usual Galaxy S4, with a capacitive touchscreen. It boasts of a large storage capacity of 16GB, which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The camera comes with an impressive 8MP with auto-focus and LED flash.
The S4 Activ runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and has a blazing quad-core 1.9GHz Krait 300. It also comes with A-GPS connectivity. The phone is powered by a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery. The Galaxy S4 Activ will tentatively be launched mid-July in a bright metallic orange color.
