Samsung unveiled its much awaited Galaxy S25 series last week, which includes four smartphones this year – the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the Galaxy S25 Edge, which will be launched later. This year, Samsung has launched all three smartphones in India with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, unlike last year. Apart from this, there isn’t any major difference on the Galaxy S25 if we compare it to its predecessor. Now, we all know that in this price segment, there is one more smartphone that probably has a higher rate of getting sold in India. Yes, I am talking about the iPhone 16, which is Apple’s latest smartphone, and yes this is the Samsung Galaxy S25 vs iPhone 16 battle.
In this article, I will compare all the key specifications of Samsung Galaxy S25 and iPhone 16 along with their pricing. Let’s begin!
Starting with their displays, the Samsung Galaxy S25 features a 6.2-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which comes with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. This panel supports HDR10+, up to 120Hz refresh rate, has 2600 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
On the other hand, the iPhone 16 comes with a 6.1-inch OLED panel with 1179 x 2556 pixels resolution. This display supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, only 60Hz refresh rate, has 2000 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Ceramic Shield Glass.
Moving on, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is coupled with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The iPhone 16 runs on Apple’s A18 chip, 8GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage. Both smartphones run on their latest UI skins – S25 on OneUI 7 and iPhone 16 on iOS 18.
For photography, you get a triple camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy S25, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens. On the iPhone, there are only two cameras – one is a 48-megapixel primary camera and the other is a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. For selfies, both smartphones come with a 12-megapixel selfie shooters.
Lastly, there is a 4000mAh battery on the Samsung Galaxy S25, which supports 25-watt fast charging, 15-watt wireless charging, and 4.5-watt reverse wireless charging. But, with the iPhone 16, you get a 3561mAh battery, which also supports 25-watt fast charging, 15-watt reverse wireless, and 4.5-watt reverse wired charging.
So these are the key-differences between the specifications of both smartphones. Now, let’s take a look at their pricing.
In September last year, Apple launched the iPhone 16 with the same price as older iPhones – Rs 79,900 for the base variant. However, Samsung has increased the pricing of its Galaxy S25 compared to Galaxy S24. The S25 comes at a starting price of Rs 80,999.
