Samsung is preparing to unveil the Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked event. The tech giant will unveil the Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25 Plus, and vanilla trim, as it does every year. The top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to have improved camera, performance, and design over the Galaxy S24 Ultra. So, if you’re unsure whether you should buy the Galaxy S24 Ultra or wait for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, here are five differences to help you make an informed decision.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to have more rounded edges, leaving behind the Galaxy S24 Ultra with square edges. The smartphone is said to retain the titanium design but will have a more sleeker body with less weight.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset which is more powerful compared to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. We can also expect faster RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to get a new bigger 50MP ultrawide camera. The primary 200MP shooter will remain unchanged. It will also get a 50MP telephoto and a 10MP sensor. However, the tech giant has not confirmed the updates yet.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will launch with the Android 15-based OneUI 7 update. The new update is said to bring a variety of features including the AI-powered Bixby. It will also bring some changes to the home screen and lock screens. However, this update will be available for the Galaxy S24 series, but after some time.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be priced at around Rs 1,30,000 while the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to witness a price drop after the Unpacked 2025 event.
