Samsung amazed everyone with its first flagship release of the year, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. While the buzz around the Galaxy S24 Ultra is still strong, leaks and rumours about the Galaxy S25 Ultra have already started surfacing. These new rumours suggest a significant design change, one that many phone brands are now following. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to feature a boxy design, similar to the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and iPhone 16 Pro Max, but a better one. Let me tell you more about it.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra design rumours

According to an X post by tipster Ice Universe, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra with a slimmer and lighter design. He has leaked multiple pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra on X, comparing it with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The first thing is that the upcoming Ultra model will not have sharp edges, as per these leaks. This phone might look a lot like the current standard Galaxy S models.

Apart from that, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might also come with slimmer bezels that will increase the display size to 6.86-inch from 6.79-inch in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung might also reduce the body width to 77.6mm from 79mm.

Now coming to the slimmer and lighter part, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumoured to be the thinnest and lightest Ultra flagship phone yet, even thinner and lighter than the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The Google Pixel 9 Pro is 8.5mm thick and weighs 221 grams. Whereas, the exact details of iPhone 16 Pro Max’s weight and thickness will only be revealed after its launch.

So these are the leaks that are surfacing on the internet about the design of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, there is a take that to make the Galaxy S25 Ultra thinner, Samsung might have to compromise with the battery. But, all these details and opinions are totally based on leaks so I would suggest you take it as a pinch of salt.
