2025 is just around the corner, and with the new year coming anticipation about the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup is also building up. Rumours and leaks have already started to paint a picture for us about what we can expect from the smartphone lineup. It can come with more advanced hardware, AI features, and better cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is the most hyped smartphone out of the lineup and here’s everything we know about this phone so far.
As per leaked renders, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a slightly different design. It is rumored to feature a flat frame design, unlike the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It’s rumored to be the thinnest Ultra model yet, at just 8.4mm thick, with ultra-slim bezels for a sleek aesthetic. The display is expected to be a 6.8-inch AMOLED 2X panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the S25 Ultra is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Leaked benchmark tests reveal impressive Geekbench 6 scores: 2481 (single-core) and 8658 (multi-core). The device will reportedly feature up to 16GB of RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for seamless multitasking. We can also see the same 5,000mAh battery as the S24 Ultra.
On the software front, it can run on OneUI 7, based on Android 15. This will bring along new AI-powered features, enhanced customization, and improved efficiency.
Just like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra can also feature a quad-camera setup. We can see minor changes such as a 50MP ultrawide lens, replacing last year’s 12MP sensor. The 200MP primary camera may incorporate a 100MP Space Zoom, and a 50MP telephoto lens could feature variable zoom as well.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to launch in late January or early February 2025. Samsung is yet to confirm a launch date. Further, if rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy S25 Ultra can see a potential price hike compared to the S24 Ultra. Last year, we saw a $100 increase in prices. Let’s wait and see what price tag it holds this time.
Stay tuned for more updates as the official launch approaches.
