South Korean tech giant Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship lineup- the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. The Galaxy Unpacked event will most likely take place on January 22 or 23, 2025, as per a GSMArena report. As expected, the smartphone lineuo will carry four smartphones: the base Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and possibly a S25 Slim as well. Ahead of the launch, let’s take a look at what we can expect from Samsung’s flagship lineup.
Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup expected specifications
On the design front, we may only see some minor changes. This includes slimmer bezels and improved camera modules. The base variant Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ are expected to feature rounded corners, while the Ultra model may retain its signature boxy design.
Unlike its previous tradition of using the Exynos chipsets, this time Samsung can feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in all of the smartphones in the lineup. Further, the smartphones will ship with OneUI 7 which is based on Android 15.
The S25 Ultra can get some camera upgrades. It can feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, replacing the 12-megapixel lens seen in its predecessor. However, the Ultra’s 200-megapixel primary sensor and telephoto lenses are likely to remain unchanged.
Lastly, the rumours strongly suggest that we can get to see a fourth smartphone- the Galaxy S25 Slim. It is expected to compete with Apple’s yet-to-be-announced iPhone 17 Slim. It can feature a thinner design with some compromises in processing power, battery life, and camera features to get that slim look.
There’s still around two months before Samsung decides to unveil its flagship lineup. Until then, let’s take this with a pinch of salt.
