For months now, rumours and leaks about Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series have been swirling, as the Galaxy S lineup continues to be one of the tech giant’s most popular smartphone ranges. The latest report gives us a closer look at the vanilla Galaxy S25 model, providing some exciting details about its specs and design.

The Galaxy S25 is expected to feature a 6.17-inch display, which will likely be rounded up and marketed as a 6.2-inch screen. The dimensions of the S25 will likely be slightly smaller, measuring around 146.9 x 70.4 x 7.2mm. For context, the Galaxy S24 was 147 x 70.6 x 7.6mm. While these changes may seem small, they will likely make the S25 feel a bit more streamlined in the hand.

One of the most exciting revelations is about the chipset powering the Galaxy S25 series. Earlier rumours suggested that Samsung would use its Exynos chip globally for its next S-series. Now, according to a report by Android Headlines, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will likely be used instead. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to run at impressive clock speeds, potentially reaching up to 4.32GHz.

The Galaxy S25 will also likely see a boost in RAM, with the non-Ultra models expected to come with 12GB of RAM. Storage is expected to start at 128GB, and the battery will likely remain at 4,000mAh.

In terms of design, leaked renders suggest that the S25 won’t see any drastic changes. However, the cameras will feature rings around them, and the bezels are expected to be slightly slimmer than on the Galaxy S24. The device will retain flat sides, a design trend that has become popular with other smartphone makers like Google’s Pixel 9 series.

As for the launch, Samsung has been moving its Galaxy S announcements earlier each year. With the Galaxy S22 revealed in February 2022, the Galaxy S23 in early February 2023, and the Galaxy S24 expected in mid-January 2024, it’s likely that the Galaxy S25 will be officially announced around January 13, 2025.
