During its Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung gave us a glimpse at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Edge. However, except for a first look, nothing more was revealed about the device. But rumours and leaks have been giving us a glimpse of what we can expect from the device. New leaks have further revealed what we can expect from the design and more. The S25 Edge is expected to launch soon and can directly compete with the yet-to-be-announced iPhone 17 Air. Here’s everything that we know about it so far.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge expected specifications

Speaking of the design first, the Galaxy S25 Edge may ditch the glass back seen on the Galaxy S25 series in favor of a ceramic panel. According to a report by SamMobile, the Galaxy S25 Edge will retain its aluminum frame but may swap out the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back panel for a ceramic or glass-ceramic hybrid material. This is reportedly being done to make the Galaxy S25 Edge lighter and slimmer. The phone is expected to be just around 5.84mm thick.

Further, the phone can carry a 6.66-inch display which is similar to the Galaxy S25+. The Galaxy S25 Edge will also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, most likely, just like the other devices in the Galaxy S25 lineup. This can be paired with 12GB of RAM.

For cameras, it can get a dual-camera setup with a 200-megapixel primary sensor. Lastly, a 3,900mAh battery with 25W wired charging is also speculated.

Apart from this, we do not know much about the device and even Samsung remains tight-lipped. The Galaxy S25 Edge will be Samsung’s attempt to position itself in the ultra-thin market. An iPhone 17 Air is also being speculated which will directly compete with the S25 Edge. It will be interesting to see if these two tech giants initiate a new trend in the smartphone market.
