Samsung Galaxy S24 FE tipped to launch at the end of 2024: What to expect?

The new launch date of the Galaxy S24 FE is said to be released at the end of 2024 or early next year.

The year started with Samsung unveiling its flagship Galaxy S24 series. The series included three high-end smartphones: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Post that, people started waiting for the Fan Edition series of the same, I am talking about the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. However, a new report now claims that the launch of the affordable variant of the S24 series will have to wait for some time.

According to previous rumours, it was expected that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE would launch by the summer of 2024. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case now. A Dutch report suggests that the launch has been pushed ahead.

When could the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE launch?

According to a Galaxyclub report, Samsung is working on a new smartphone codenamed R12. If we closely look at the codenames of the previous Samsung Galaxy FE models then it indicates that this one can be the Galaxy S24 FE. The Galaxy S23 FE had the codename R11, the Galaxy S21 FE was R9, whereas the R8 was the Galaxy S20 FE.

The new launch date of the Galaxy S24 FE is said to be released at the end of 2024 or early next year. This can be attributed to the developmental delays that the device is facing. Another reason could also be the fact that the Galaxy S23 FE was announced in October last year and saw some expansion in early 2024. The company wanted to give breathing room too.

Expected specifications

On the specifications front, we don’t know a lot. But here’s what the rumours suggest.

The Galaxy S24 FE can come with a 6.1-inch AMOLED display and run on Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, depending on the market. It could pack 12GB RAM along with 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. You can also get to see a 4,500mAh battery.
