Samsung Galaxy S24 FE likely to be powered by Exynos 2400e SoC, confirms Geekbench listing

After the success of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the South Korean tech giant is gearing up to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE soon. If rumours are to be believed, Samsung will drop the smartphone in October. And as always, rumours and leaks are flooding the internet. Now, the smartphone has been spotted again, and this time we might also not find its chipset.

Rumours suggest that the Galaxy S24 FE will feature the Exynos 2400e chipset, which is supposed to be a slightly less powerful variant of Samsung’s flagship processor. Now, a Geekbench score sheet has surfaced online. This furthers the rumours that the Galaxy S24 FE will be powered by an underclocked version of the Exynos 2400 chip.

The main Cortex-X4 core appears to be clocked at 3.11 GHz, slightly lower than the original 3.2 GHz found in the standard Exynos 2400. The other clusters, however, remain unchanged. This means that there might not be a huge difference in the performance.

The Geekbench results for the Galaxy S24 FE show significantly lower multi-core and single-core scores compared to the original Exynos 2400. But again, this can also be because of the fact that the device is still in the pre-production stage. It’s common for early samples to deliver lower performance scores, as optimisations are typically made before the final production units are released.

Let’s finally see what Samsung has to offer. The wait isn’t that long now. Until then, let’s take this news with a pinch of salt.
