Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s processor could be Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The Galaxy flagship for 2023 could also bear a 5000mAh battery.
The weight, camera specifications, and some other details about the S23 Ultra are also being tipped.
Although Samsung has just unpacked the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4, the details about the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra series (probably in February 2023) have also started circulating on the street. The word has it the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is going to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and a 5000mAh battery. Here’s everything that’s being tipped by the prolific tipster, Ice Universe on Weibo.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: What we know so far
First of all, Ice Universe tells us the Galaxy S23 Ultra could sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 inside. From the performance and efficiency improvements we have seen with the 8+ Gen 1 over its predecessor, we are optimistic about the 8 Gen 2. That is supposing Qualcomm sticks with a TSMC chip manufacturing process.

The tipster also claims the device could weigh around 228 grams and could share a similar size profile to the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
That’s about all we learned recently about the forthcoming Galaxy flagship. However, we have been hearing and expecting the Galaxy S23 Ultra to bring a 200MP camera. This could be perhaps the yet-to-be-announced ISOCELL HP2 sensor with a 0.60μm pixel size. If that’s the case, you could get 8K60fps from the S23 Ultra.
But, nothing can be said for sure until we come across more verifiable evidence. Until then, take these things with a grain of salt.
