As is the case with Samsung flagships, ahead of the launch event, we pretty much know everything there is to know about the forthcoming Galaxy S23 lineup. There’s been a myriad of leaks and rumours so far. Add this new leak of Galaxy S23 Ultra camera specs to that list. This reveals the details of the sensors in use and there is a newly unannounced front camera sensor in the mix. But, new may not mean better. Here’s what we mean.
As per Device Info HW screenshots supposedly revealing Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra specs, we learn the new phone has:
– 200MP (ISOCELL HP2) primary sensor + 12MP (IMX564) ultrawide+ 10MP (IMX754) 3x telephoto shooter+ 10MP (IMX754) 10x periscope zoom lens on the back.
– 12MP ISOCELL 3LU sensor on the front.
That selfie camera sensor is new and yet to go official. So, that’s a mystery. However, if you recall the Galaxy S22 Ultra camera specs, you’d notice the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a lower megapixel count. We’ll have to see how it impacts the selfie and video call experience on the new Ultra model.
Just the other day, a Twitter user named Edwards Urbina shared Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 200MP main camera samples. Here are some of the night mode shots out of the 1/1.3-inch sensor:
Additionally, we also get zoom shots at 1x, 3x, 10x, and 30x magnification:
