Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra users complain about boot loop issues after updating to One UI 6.1
HIGHLIGHTS

Users report boot loop, crashes, and freezes after updating to One UI 6.1 on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Samsung service centers indicate motherboard issues, requiring costly repairs for out-of-warranty devices.

Similar problems occurred with a previous One UI update, but Samsung has yet to officially acknowledge the issue.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra users are reportedly facing issues after they have updated the device to the latest OneUI 6.1 update. The S22 Ultra, which was released three years ago, is still regarded as a respectable phone with a promising camera and hardware. Nonetheless, some users are yet again complaining about the boot loop problem on social media sites.

While the boot loop is the most serious issue, users have also reported random crashes, freezes, and jittery performance. Most of the users highlighted that they have started facing problems soon after they updated to the latest OneUI update.

According to the reports, multiple users have approached Samsung service centers and received feedback indicating that the problem is caused by a faulty or fried motherboard, but because the Galaxy S22 Ultra is currently out of warranty, users will have to spend a significant amount of money to fix the problems and have the devices repaired.

Some users were able to resolve the issue by placing their devices in the refrigerator for a few minutes but then discovered that the phone went into a boot loop after being heated up again. The news report also mentioned a few possible fixes which include hard restart, factory data reset, and Wipe Cache Partition (Recovery Mode).

This is not the first time that Samsung Galaxy S22 series users have encountered such issues. In the past, the tech giant released an update, and similar complaints occurred. The company apparently addressed the issues and re-released the update after a few weeks.

However, the recurrence of such incidents has left users frustrated and concerned about the stability and software updates. It is worth noting that Samsung has not acknowledged the problems yet, but new devices are expected to be released in the coming months.
