Samsung Galaxy Note 6 tipped to launch with Android N in July
Will Google be ready with Android N by then?
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 smartphone may be launched with Android N in July. According to a report by Korean website, The Bell, the Galaxy Note 6 is allegedly codenamed ‘Grace’ and may be launched in mid-July. If true, it would mean that Google will have the newest version of Android ready by that time. The Search giant in fact surprised us all, with the developer preview of Android N, for select smartphones and Google’s I/O event is scheduled to be held between May 18 and May 20. Google usually unveils the newest version of Android at Google I/O.
However, the report did not reveal much about the specifications of the Galaxy Note 6. The phone is expected to come with a slightly larger 5.8-inch QHD display and may have 6GB of RAM. It is expected to have a 12MP rear camera and may offer multiple storage options, that could go up to 256GB. Additionally, Samsung should also offer UFS 2.0 storage instead of eMMC storage that most smartphones currently use. In fact, the company has already used this storage variant in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 series before this. The company though started mass producing 256GB UFS 2.0 storage for mobile devices in February this year.
