Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series India launch on August 20: Report
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series of phones to launch in India on August 20.
The phone will be up for grabs on August 22.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series of smartphones will launch in India on August 20 and it will hit shelves globally on August 22, a media report has said. If the development turns out to be true, it will mean that the Seoul-based brand will continue with its tradition of first releasing smartphones in India and then the international market. The claim, made by 91Mobiles, comes a day ahead of the ‘Unpacked’ event that Samsung is holding at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The event is likely to see unveiling of the flagship Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ handsets.
Famous tipster Roland Quandt recently tweeted that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be available at a starting price of Rs $949 (approx Rs 66,000) and the Galaxy Note 10+ may start at $1,099 (approx Rs 76,500). Quandt notes that these prices are for the 256GB variants, which means that the flagship phones will come with 256GB base storage. There are reports which claim that the phones will be available with up to 1TB of UFS 3.0 storage, and up to 12GB RAM.
Under the hood, the phone is said to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset in the US and the Exynos 9825 in other markets. Samsung has followed the trend of incorporating the same chipset in the Galaxy S-Series and Galaxy Note Series flagships every year. This year, however, could be different because the South Korean giant is expected to unveil the Note 10 Series of phones with an upgraded Exynos 9825 SoC. The Galaxy S-Series phones are powered by the Exynos 9820 chipsets.
While there are confirmed reports regarding the SoC, its was reported that the Exynos 9825 chipset could mitigate the drawbacks of the Exynos 9820. Samsung’s Exynos official Twitter handle also released a teaser hinting at an “evolved”, “next-level” and “intelligent processor”. The Note 10 devices are expected to house a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Leaks suggest that the company may even offer 45W charging with the phones.
